Doug Henzlik has focused his
entire career of more than 17 years in retail development,
leasing and tenant representation. Doug began his career
with the Leo Eisenberg Company as an intern while completing
his undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas. Doug
spent six years working for the Leo Eisenberg Company in
Charleston, South Carolina, specializing in retail development
and leasing of Wal-Mart anchored shopping centers.
In 1993, Doug started a branch office in Charleston for
JDN, the largest developer of Wal-Marts in the mid 1990s
and one of the largest strip center REITs in the country,
with an average of 115 properties in its portfolio.
In 1997, Doug formed Henzlik-Oliver Real Estate Companies,
LLC, based in Kansas City that specializes in shopping development
and tenant representation. Since the formation of Henzlik-Oliver
Real Estate Companies, LLC, Doug has owned or had ownership
in Wal-Mart Centers, several grocery anchored centers, Walgreens,
a 500,000 SF center in Terre Haute, Indiana, Boston Market
Restaurants, 50 acre retail development parcel in Kansas
City and numerous other retail developments. In addition,
Henzlik-Oliver Real Estate Companies, LLC, represents Home
Depot in a majority of Kansas and Missouri.
