Timber Ridge Golf Club
An 18 hole golf course and real estate development located
in East Lansing, Michigan. Developed in response to a study
for the US Government by Rooney & Associates that identified
a shortage of up-scale public golf in America. Designed
by Jerry Matthews it was ranked in the top 50 public golf
courses in the Nation by Golf Digest. A successful facility,
Timber Ridge generated a 16.5% annualized return on investment
and was sold in 1999.
El Dorado Golf Club
Originally purchased as an 18 hole course we added an additional
9 holes in 1997. A 27 hole mid level facility located in
Mason, Michigan with a proliferation of golf leagues. The
facility generated a 19% annualized return on investment
and was sold in 1999.
The Majestic Golf Club
An upscale 27 hole facility located in the Detroit suburbs.
Rated as one of the top facilities in Michigan, the Majestic
was a highly successful project. The Rooney Golf Group shares
produced a 26% annualized return on investment.
Traditions Golf Club
Receiving 4 ½ stars from Golf Digest in 2004, Traditions
rates as the top public golf course in Oklahoma City. Built
in 1998 we have sold two complete phases of residential
development and are opening our third phase in the spring
2004. Traditions location is outstanding, an example of
how well our location model works.
Grand Haven Golf Club
Located on the pristine shores of Lake Michigan, Grand Haven
has been ranked in the Top 75 public golf courses by Golf
Digest on 11 occasions which places it in the top 1% of
pubic course in America. Grand Haven is located in Ottawa
County the fastest growing county in Michigan. Since our
purchase of Grand Haven in 1998 our land has appreciated
at a rapid rate to almost 3 times its original appraised
value.
